By Taxi
Private taxis can be hired from San Ignacio or Belize City. The ride is long (around 2-2.5 hours) and can be costly, but it is a direct ride.

By Bus

Public buses leave Belize City and San Ignacio to Placencia regularly. Costs are low, but length of transit time is long.
